Dr. Mom

A while back there was a cough medicine, Robitussin I think, that used the term "Dr. Mom" in their commercials. This never really made a whole lot of sense to me until just the other day. I've been tweeting a lot about the cooties floating in and out of my home. For the last going on 4 weeks now something has been wrong with one of my children. The following photo shows the pharmacy right above my kitchen sink. I've been dispensing daily some sort of medicine, prescribed or over the counter and it occurred to me "Dr. Mom" that's me! I feel like a Dr./nurse/pharmacist. This would have been a great photo for Wordless Wednesday!

What we have is several different allergy medications because all three have allergies. We have a line up of antibiotics and decongestants. We also have saline to clear out all the nasal passages, tylenol and benadryl. Honestly, I'm drained and so is our bank account from all the visits to the doctor and the medications.

The pediatrician said give them allergy meds daily. I struggled with this because I didn't want my baby to take them daily. The allergy specialist said no, give it as needed. OK - I went with the advice of the allergy specialist - BAD! By taking his advice those allergies turned into infections cha-ching, cha-ching, cha-ching. Geez!

Dr. Mom yes, that's me! After all you can trust me kids, I watch House MD and Grey's Anatomy. You're in good hands. rofl.........

Are you a Dr. Mom too?

Before you go, don't forget to link up! I'm sure we are in some of the same circles. Have a look around the side bars and don't forget to check the "Add Me" tab.
