Remodel Day 7

 In just 7 days I have an entirely new bathroom. It's wonderfully stress relieving to hang out in this room. If I could wave my magic wand I would make every room in the house feel this way. Remodel Day 5

We have all the pain now and the shower is done except for the glass. They will be at a stopping point tomorrow waiting on shower glass. It's coming along!

Whoot! We have paint, wall paper and the tub installed! Nice. These guys are working fast.

Remodel Day 3

More tile!!! It's on the floor now. There is dust all over the place and all over our bedroom but it's coming along. 4 weeks without our bathroom is a long time.

Remodel Day 2

The hole in the wall is gone. All of the wall paper is removed and there is tile where the shower is going to be. Major progress today!

Remodel Day 1

It's hard to get the full picture of the entire bathroom. Maybe I should switch to a vlog for this one. Either way, you sort of get the idea. Everything is gone except the wall paper. That could take a while. There is a ton of wall paper. The bathtub is being framed. That's all I've got for today. It's been nearly 4 weeks without our bathroom. Can't wait to have it back in action.

How to Remodel Your Bathroom 101

First there are a few tiles that need to be replaced in the shower. Your husband thinks that should be easy enough until it turns into something more than just a few tiles and you end up with this...

But wait, let's not stop there let's go ahead and pull up the floor too!

If we are going to replace the shower and the floor then why not take out the tub too?

Then you make a "Designer 9-1-1" call to Karen Nelson!

Then you give your wife a hammer and let her go to town with you and poof the shower is gone!

Then you give your husband a sledgehammer and poof the tub is gone!

It didn't really happen exactly in this order but pretty close. lol - Special thanks to my mother and grandmother for coming over to watch our babies, making dinner and helping us clean up! Please send our family loads of prayers as we get through this remodeling job. We are going to need a lot of patience. Can't wait till you see the after photos. I'm not sure how long that's going to take though. You know I'll keep you posted.
