Juneathon.com - Came and Went Day 8 - 30th

Truth be told I was doing great until my birthday! On June 10th all I did was celebrate and there wasn't any working out other than cleaning the house. That was one day that I missed and then I missed another Sunday but over all I kept up with the challenge pretty steady! The blogging part well I sort of fell off the map with that one. I took so many photos of "proof" with the greatest of intentions of posting daily but too many things happened beyond my control. When I left off it was with a horrible WOD called Candy!

Day 8 -
Day 9 -
My first kick boxing class it nearly killed but it's possible that I was already tired from the two work outs the previous day.
Day 10 - My birthday I did more arms that day. Lifting my beverage and all. Here are few of my remaining workouts. They were so hard. Please feel free to give any of these a try yourself.








I can't seem to locate all my photos but you can always check out the ones I have on my Fan Page under the Crossfit album. We work really hard at what we do. Every work out is tough! I'm thankful for the challenge though because I feel like it really lit a fire under me to keep pushing. Cheers to all of you who finished the challenge.

#Mamavation Monday - I'm Here


I'm here. It's been a couple of weeks since I fell off the wagon but I'm still here. So much has happened since my birthday. Lot's of unexpected events have caused me to question everything that I'm doing. Nothing really makes sense to me right now. It's probably NOT a good idea for me to be blogging about it either. I hate to just add fuel to any of it.

As a result I have begun working out more not less. I'm praying but I can't seem to make sense out of things. I'm trying to physically exhaust myself into a better place. Honestly it's not working but I keep thinking that it's a better route than taking up drinking or stuffing myself with yummy stuff that is bad for me just to feel better for the moment. I have tried it and it just doesn't really work for me. lol - Thank goodness I have a great support network of people that I work out with and they call me to meet up for a work out so I just keep showing up! Thank God. I don't know what I would do without them all.

I don't want to be that person that complains either. I don't want to be that person where people just don't want to talk to you because they don't want to hear about your problems. Honestly, I don't want to share my problems. I rather pretend they don't exist, but that's hard to do. It's the HUGE white elephant that follows me every where! People ask, "hey so what's up with the elephant?" Sigh...

Memes-5 Fingers of Thanks




It's been a rough couple of weeks. I'm behind on blogging. I'm a bit lost and unbalanced. My head and heart are not in a good place. I'm going to have to dig pretty deep for these....
1.) Thankful for those friends who have lent an ear. You know who you are...
2.) Thankful for those friends who have called me out to come and play.
3.) Thankful for Crossfit because it's giving me something to focus on.
4.) Thankful for routines.
5.) Thankful that because of my faith I believe everything will be sorted out according to plan.

Juneathon.com-Day 7-Candy

Crossfit Candy WOD
One week down and only 23 days to go! Today I had the awful displeasure of meeting one of the "nasty girls," Candy to be specific. When you look at the board it may not seem like much but please go ahead and give it a shot and let me know what you think. Everything I did was as modified as you can get for crossfit. I didn't even finish the rounds. It was sooooo hot in there and it was a struggle to get through for me at least. My arms were just J-E-L-L-O after pull ups and push ups. You would think I would have some really nice arms by now but not really. Better yes but not where I would like them to be.
This is my proof, my puddle if you will. I'm sure mine is the biggest. Apparently I have a lot of water weight to lose. In the evening when I got home from work I ended up at the track running a mile. The mile was slower than last night but there was less pain so that is a plus. I'm just going to keep working. Only 3 more days left until my birthday. I would be great to see some new digits! Until tomorrow....

Juneathon.com-Day 6-Got a run in today!

 
I got some Crossfit in this morning but later this evening I wanted to get a run on! Yesterday during Taebo there is nothing but mirrors to see yourself in. Each time I looked in the mirror I kept thinking man I just don't wanna look like this any more. I'm going to be 40 on Sunday for crying out loud. This is not the look I was going for by the age of 40. Maybe if I had not had to sit out for 6 months, ok not sit out but seriously tone it down this would not be an issue. Any way I just wanted to burn off as much as I can safely. The 11:37 was not a bad pace considering this is the first timed mile of 2012. Lucky for me there is DailyMile.com and they have about two years worth of my workouts. My fastest mile last year was 9:54 and that's not too far off if you ask me. It's a doable speed to get back to if I work my way up gradually. While running on the track I thought hey I could do another mile but no not really. It's my nature to do too much too soon so instead I stuck with the one mile no matter how lame it seemed. Maybe it will be faster tomorrow? Maybe not. I'm a work in progress. Until tomorrow....
