Whoo Hoo! I've made the decision that this is the last Tuesday Toot Meme post due to lack of participation. I know it's hard to get a meme off the ground and I really liked this one but hardly anyone participates. I'll just continue to keep in mind that I need to toot my own horn every now and again. I've got to remain my biggest cheerleader.

Here it is a pizza casserole! It is really good. My son bought a cooking magazine on Sunday and this is one of the recipes we thought we would try. If you would like the recipe just let me know and I will get it to you or post it.

I'm still working on getting organized but this week I survived the first week of the kids being out of school for the summer! We lived at the soccer field in the evenings. My toddler did really well. I'm breaking him into becoming more socialized and being able to follow instructions from others. He did great at his little tumbling class and vbs. This coming week we are trying out preschool summer camp. I'm so excited for him. Toot Toot to me for surviving and preparing my peeps for what lies ahead all while still having a touch of cooties. They are almost gone but not yet and I'm still functioning. Let's hear it for functioning, whoo hoo!

Tuesday Toot Meme #46

Let's hear it for getting organized. I'm trying to take on a portion of my home per day. Every single horizontal surface has some sort of clutter on it. I'm making it my mission to rectify this issue. On Saturday we tackled a few areas all around the windows of our kitchen. We had file boxes filled with papers that needed to be filed. Now it's all gone, finally we can eat at the table without the horrendous background of stress. I can breath a little easier now. I'm working toward the entire house being organized by the time summer ends. That's a pretty good goal I think.

The great thing that I did for myself this week was to get registered with the FitLinxx system at our YMCA. A personal trainer took my dh and I through a work out plan and programmed the weight machines. Our trainer was Brandon and he set up our range of motion and how much we could lift on each of the machines. Once the session was complete it becomes your own computerized personal fitness trainer. How cool is that? I'm so excited to get started.

I'm making more changes. I have returned to the YMCA again. I'm really happy to be there too. This time I have chosen a different location. They are doing more with the children in their child watch area. They change it up every 20 minutes or so. I'm entering the world of water aerobics. What better way to make sure you keep up with all the necessary hair removal?

Toot Toot for me! I'm finally putting myself back on the to do list. Dentist check, Dr. appointment for me, check! Paying more attention to getting this extra person off of me that I have obtained, check. There is a 5K race next month. I'm debating whether to go for it or not. I did it 2 years ago but I was in better shape then. I'm going back and forth. We'll see.

Toot Toot! Check it out, I bring you my cookie cutters. I seriously felt like I needed an aluminum flashing bending class by the time I was done. In case you forgot I'm working on my gourmet cookie project. It's taking longer than I thought. There is a lot of drying time that takes place for the glue and the Plasti-Dip. The instructions say that your cutter doesn't have to be a perfect outline of the shape that you are trying to make. That's not possible for someone who has even a trace of being a perfectionist! I was getting really mad and frustrated and I didn't want to cut my fingers but I think I did ok. The rose is to go with the instructions and I want it to be a surprise Mother's Day gift and the Captain Rex helmet is for my son. Now on to the Plast-Dip. By the way the aluminum flashing can be found in the last aisle of Lowe's and the Plasti-Dip is in the paint section in aisle 2 also at Lowe's. I'm trying to save you some time here. My Raising A Responsible Adult post has brought the perverts to my blog. In order to cast out the perverts I have turned on the comment monitor option on. Toot Toot to me for making sure you don't have to see any links posted by very ill people. Could I be ultra sensitive after watching yesterday's Oprah episode? You bet! The piggy banks have arrived from www.msgen.com. These are our three little pigs. The kids love these banks. I'm Tooting my horn this week for making a better effort to teach my little ones about money. We are covering spending, saving, donating and investing! The sooner we teach our children the value of a dollar the better.

I put out a Tweet to my followers to help me find one of those sectioned off banks (see photo below). I was sent the link (Money Savvy Generation) and I ordered 3 for each of my children. My hubby and I had the money is for different things discussion with our sons on Saturday when we revised his chore list. We stopped paying him for things he should be doing now automatically by his age. Now we are bringing in the toddler too! It's amazing what these guys will do for a quarter! rofl

I accomplished a lot this week with the prize listings for the Ultimate Blog Party and organized my inboxes too! What I really need to Toot my horn about is that I know in my heart of hearts that I'm a good mother. Today, I can't do that. I believe that no matter how hard we try our children's decisions are a reflection of their upbringing. I've been just made aware that my eldest is making a choice I can't possibly support. It's hard not to feel like a failure. I can't wrap my brain around it all. The scientist in me wants to find out what I did so I don't do it again. I don't want it repeated. My belief tells me it's karma, I must have done something really bad to my mom (and I did) so I'm still paying for it. The mother's intuition in me screams BAD IDEA!!!! Tell her she is forbidden. But she's an adult and I can do nothing, so I how can I even Toot a horn today?

I finally finished these diaper cakes! Here is a photo for you to see my labor of love. It took a good 24 hours to do it. The baby wouldn't let me finish them. Then I ran out of supplies but my gram cake over and ta da! Done. They are dropped off at Fed Ex and going to their important destinations. And that my friends is worth tooting about!

Tuesday Toot Meme #31

Yesterday I did a post about emotional eating. Instead of putting everything that upset me in a journal I wrote it on our white board. I started this about 8:30 am this morning and it was this full by 1pm. I counted 22 things that were stress triggers and the day is only half way over. I only wrote down the things that made my heart race and increased anxiety. Then I thought if I drank 8 oz. of water every time I wrote something on the board then I could get my water intake done for the day. That would have been 176 oz of water so far today! That might be way too much. lol I have no idea. I am going to continue researching this because clearly I have issues.

So my Toot Toot this week is going to be for writing down my stress triggers. I bought all new under garments and a couple of pairs of jeans and a tennis racket and balls! Go me. I'm on the road to recovery again. I love my children but I'm glad we had our last one. I need to find my body again. I'm in here some where.
