My Ninja! - 900 Watts

Most of my family and friends know me to be a bit of a fruit smoothie freak! I make my own and I have one at least once a day. They are really simple to make and the kids love them. One morning I was washing out the glass pitcher and left it in the sink. When I returned it was tipped over and the glass was all cracked.

Panic mode set in! I needed a new one fast. The children piled up in the car and off we went to Wally World (aka Wal-Mart). After viewing everything that they had to offer the Ninja was what caught my eye.

Could it have been just because of the name "Ninja?" After all it's what I would like to be! It does say "Professional" on the box! More importantly it says 900 Watts of power! SOLD!!!! I didn't need any of the zillions of settings that most of these blenders have to offer. I needed it to do one thing, mix and chop my ingredients.

It's very simple folks! 1 Banana, a cup of mixed frozen fruit (at H.E.B.) and 2 cups of orange juice. For this smoothie I put in some extra blue berries! YUMMY!!!!! I'm happy, the children are happy. The Ninja does the job, well.

I love the poor spout! The design is simple and easy to use and clean. This time I went with a little extra mango. YUMMY!!!!! I'm back in action to feed my sweet tooth. It's better than my alternatives; chocolate, sweet tea, Big Red or some baked good. All is right with the world again, thanks to my Ninja!

Honey Do Part 2

No really, he's on a roll! My husband has managed to do all but one thing on the "Honey Do" list. Today he replaced pickets in the backyard and he tackled the kitchen faucet. We had a Kohler faucet but it started breaking apart after 3 years. There was a leak that was drastically increasing our water bill. He replaced it with a Delta Bellini Stainless Steel kitchen faucet available at Lowes. Sweet! That sprayer has some serious power. I've had to adjust to it after completely soaking myself (on accident of course). After all he has done, you can see all the other stuff on my list over here, he brought me home an early Christmas gift!

Kenmore Progressive 35922 Upright Vacuum - It's almost been a year.

When I first bought my vacuum I was so happy! It was like the honeymoon period. Here is the original post. After a few short months the motor burned out and it had to be replaced. Thankfully we did purchase the extended warranty and changing it out was a breeze. About 2 months ago the attachments started to break down on me. The hand held accessory that I use to removed dog hair from my couch no longer spins. I'm no longer happy with my Kenmoore purchase. After spending over $200.00 changing it out, attachments breaking down all under a year I'm thinking I should have gone for the Dyson!

And Then Came The New Dryer!

And it is oh sooooooooooooooooo quiet! My husband did a great job picking it out. I really do love it and then we folded about 10 loads of laundry today. We washed until there was nothing left! Talk about exhausted but that's ok because we no longer have to worry about whether or not the dryer is going to go out or not. That would be bad news for a family of five.

Kenmore Progressive 35922 Upright Vacuum - Day 55

Kenmore I big giant red puffy heart your vacuum! I tweeted and I asked my wonderful group of followers, tell me what to buy!? I've got 3 kids and 3 dogs in the house. Help me get rid of this blasted dog hair. They told me one after another Dyson, Dyson get a Dyson. I was jazzed! It's expensive but I wanted to at least try it. I was hoping that the Dyson Gods would shine upon me and send me one to try but this was not to be.

My hubby got a hold of the consumers reportse online and did his own research. Side note- we are a bunch of research freaks over here. We research items to death but that's part of being a savy consumer. Now on with the show!

I told him about this groovy Dyson but no, Kenmore topped the list not Dyson. Off to Sears we went and we purchased this particular vacuum and I'm in LOVE! It's like a whole new carpet now and I love the attachments too! I used them on our super cool couch that holds dog hair and won't let go. Our Kenmore rocks! I don't have a Dyson to compare it to but I have to tell you I'm really pleased with our purchase. Did I mention that it was on sale for $100.00 off?

Yeah! SEARS you rock for carrying this Kenmore vacuum. You've just made my cleaning days a lot easier.

Home Depot: WARNING

Look what my darling husband picked out for us! He went to HomeDepot.com and placed our order and got a confirmation code with a delivery date of 10/10/08. That's today! We've been waiting for this delivery all week. I've been doing laundry at my moms but it was ok because this nifty set was coming today. At least that is what I thought. Today my hubby called to find out what the 2 hour window was for delivery. To our surprise this set is not actually available online and he was told that their website needed to be "rebooted."

Are you flippin serious!? We have a confirmation code Home Depot! Your site gave us a delivery date and processed our order. None of your customer service reps could tell us what happened. Of course the only person that could possibly know what is going on is the manager. Guess what? We have no washer or dryer coming today!

Here is my warning consumers, before you purchase from Home Depot.com you might want to double check your order. That's right! Double check it before you rely on a deliver date. Double check that the product is actually available to be delivered. I'm beyond disappointed! Will I shop Home Depot.com again? NO.
