ellasport - The #Runchat Win

Ever have one of those days when your in the right place at the right time? The day before Valentine's Day I happen to be on Twitter following #runchat hosted by Scott Miles @irunnerblog. The sponsor that evening was none other than ellasport!
Guess who won a free pair of Power Capris?
I'm in love with them! They fit like a glove I tell you. When they came in I happen to be on my way to boot camp class. They went for a test drive right away. Quick drying and breathable is right! 4 way stretch, check! Soft and smooth moisture wicking fabric, absolutely! There is this little zipper compartment in the back to keep your stuff!  I can't wait to wear these to run in during my next 5K. Whoop! If you would like to try a pair out for yourself head over to their online store and grab you a pair. They have an awesome collection of tops, bottoms and skirts.

EZSOX.com Review & Giveaway!

She did it all by herself! Our two year old resident commonly referred to as "Silly" (because she is), put on her pair of Bo The Bear EZ SOX all by herself. Did you see how those double reinforced loops provided her with a strong grip for pulling over her tiny toes? Her cute bear face wasn't on her foot straight (she's a bit of a perfectionist) the way she wanted so I had to fix the face for her. That doesn't mean she couldn't get the socks on it just means she wanted the face a certain way! Normally I have to fix the seams inside the socks but these have seamless toes. Happily she jumped off the couch, shouted "MINE!" and took off running. I didn't worry because EZ SOX have the sticky grip non-skid bottoms. Now when she is running 90 miles an hour across the kitchen tile I know that she won't be getting any boo boos.

Spartan Inspired - Matthew Johnson Does It Again!

When I was thinking about competing in the #Spartan Race I had to share my enthusiasm with graphic designer and owner of Seventhfury Studios, Matthew Johnson. He and I have worked together on various projects over the last three years. After watching that promo video clip (which you can view in the upper right hand side of my blog) Matthew got caught up in the Spartan spirit! I told him about our team and asked him if he would create a shirt for my team to wear the day of the race. As an added incentive I sent him a link to the "Spartan gear" that's offered on the web site. Nothing against those designers but because I know Matthew's talents I was confident he could create something with more edge to it. He sent me the proofs of his designs and then put them on facebook to get some feedback. Everyone gave him rave reviews! My team loves them. The folks that are in charge of this race should contact Matthew and make this an official design. Don't you think?
We chose this one to wear on race day!
How tough are we going to be in this t-shirt? We chose the lighter color because we are in Texas and it's still pretty hot here. I'm so excited and I can't wait to get my hands on my race t-shirt. I'm gonna get it muddy, sweaty and possibly a little bloody depending on that barbed wire crawl. Team: Get us to The Greek will wear it proudly. My team is honored to get first dibs on this new design! Matthew is going to add his Spartan inspired line to his shop soon at FuryShirts.com. Sign up for his newsletter so you can find out when they're available for sale! He's going to have different colors and inks so stay tuned to see how they look. Click on this link and in the upper right hand you will see "Subscribe to the Newsletter and save 10%." Click on that box and enter your email address and click Subscribe! --->Insert Happy Dance Here<---

EmpowerMyChild.com - New Changes

Great news for you EmpowerMyChild.com fans.

Hi Pamela,
I wanted to let you know that we recently started to offer the full Empower My Child parenting book. The t-shirts no longer come with a page to the book as the book is sold separately. We had such a demand from customers that wanted to buy the entire book we couldn't say no any longer!! Many of those people had children older than 3 or 4 years old and couldn't fit in our t-shirts. Since it's not practical for us to carry 15 different sizes we decided to sell the book by itself so more parents could enjoy it. Now the t-shirts can be used as a supplement to the book to further enhance the learning process for both parent and child.
We reduced the price of the t-shirts to $25. The full book containing 25 lessons is being offered for $35.

Thanks again :)
Elisa

Agoo clothes for active kids!

The folks from Agoo who also produce Leg Huggers were so impressed with our last review they asked me if I would give their active wear line a try. Today we are putting Agoo clothes for active kids to the test. Our resident toddler is trying out one of their Racerback T-Shirts. It feels fantastic to the touch and it's tagless. It's a mix of 88% Nylon and 12% Spandex. The fabric features UV protection which helps me feel better about sun exposure. Other benefits include quick dry wick away fibres and it's stain resistant. I know this fabric does what it says because our toddler still slobbers all over his clothes. As I was taking photos all I could think about was this spot on the shirt because he instantly slobbered on it when he put it on. I just knew it was going to stick out like a sore thumb but I was wrong! Those quick dry wick away fibres really work. That slobber dried up quickly. Can the Agoo Racerback T-Shirt hold up to my active kid? Press play to find out.

Runaway Rabbit - Day 41

We had a birthday party today! My Mom and Grandma both have birthdays in December so we just had a big bash. Last Friday I took advantage of Black Friday and shopped at one of my favorite places Runaway Rabbit. I hit a really good deal with buy one pair of pj's get the next free and get a pair of free bunny slippers and get free shipping. It was by far one of the best online deals I had found. The only problem was I had to get the same size pj's. I got the voluptuous size for my Mom and I knew it would be big on my gram but thought I would give it a shot any way.
My package arrived on Wednesday. They have really great customer service because my box came with a drawn rabbit running away. It said, "Hoppy Holidays" that just made me giggle. I opened the box and a pair of slippers were missing. I sent them an email and told them it was gift for the party and they sent it out right away! Thanks FedEx for getting it to me before the party today. They both LOVED their gift. The pj's are too big for grandma but she loved them any way. They ooed and ahhed at how soft the pj's were and how comfy the slippers were. They look too cute!
Thanks Runaway Rabbit for your great customer service and making their birthday party gift a hit! I bet they wear these Christmas morning. ;)

Comfy Crawlers

Now back to what was in that box before I got lost in the tropics. Inside the package was a pair of denim comfy crawlers. My super star here has very dried up knees from crawling around. We use Curel lotion to help moisturize his skin. These pants seemed like a great addition to his wardrobe. He gets extra padding for his knees while giving his skin a break. Unfortunately these pants were too big for him because I requested the next size up (18-24 months). Thinking they would shrink a bit I put them in the wash but as you can see they didn't shrink too much. No problem, he will grow into them. These pants are cute, durable and Made in the USA. Thank you Allizon.com for such great service and products.

Fresh Milk Company - Little Animals Review

If you like organic tees for your little ones with cute farm or jungle animals printed on the front then "Little Animals" by Fresh Milk Company is the place for you! I came across this company while doing some research and I had to buy one for my Super Star. In addition to being organic, they are tagless and Made in the USA. The screen print has held up pretty well after a few washes but make sure you pay attention to the size chart. I shopped by age because it's been a while since he has been weighed. The binding around his arms is a little too tight and the fabric rolls up a bit. There are notes about fabric shrinkage that appear in another page but it's cut off. This organic tee would be a better fit if I would have bought the next size up. They have a really cute website and great packaging options available that will appeal to parents with twins and triplets. When you get your package it is already decorated with ribbon and ready to give as a present.

Sandbox Threads

Sandbox Threads is a little treasure that I came across while browsing through link exchanges. The Famous Faces section caught my eye with one of my favorite actors, John Cusak. This particular graphic is based on a character he played, Lloyd Dobler in the movie Say Anything, what a find! The shopping feature is nice because it is all about the consumers choice. I was able to customize the color of this t-shirt and graphic. Our package arrived in just a couple of days. What a nice surprise this purchase turned out to be. These shirts are really soft and tagless. We put it on our big guy right away and took this photo. You might see it on the slide show at Sandbox Threads because we just had to share this with Andy. He's the owner of this hip site and he's a stay at home dad to boot. Hats off to you Andy! Please pay attention to the size chart. For those of you with big babies or toddlers you might have to buy the next size up like I did. To date the graphic is holding up nicely after several washes. We purchased it at the end of June. Sandbox Threads has lot of graphics and styles to choose from so have fun with it! He's also getting my head of the class award!
There are some darn cute clothes for kids these days.
