Wanted: Healing Hands & Lots of Prayers

Poor little guy has been sick for two days with a fever, body aches and lots of vomiting. No child should be sick this close to Christmas. I'm asking you to keep him in your prayers. We have plans to go to church service tomorrow and look at Christmas lights. I hope we can make it. He's really sick of being sick. At least he has his little dragon to keep him company.

Birthday Wishes For The King

No, I'm not talking about Elvis. I'm talking about my son who turned 4 today! His name means "king" and that's what we call him. It was a very busy day for the birthday boy. We would like to thank all of you on Facebook and Twitter that left him birthday wishes. Here are a few of my favorite shots from his big day.
He got his first library card and signed his name all by himself. He's pretty proud of himself.
He kept picking out books to check out just because he could.
This is his military cake. It has a tank on it that transforms into a robot. He was really happy with his choice.
Play-Doh, it was one of his favorite presents. He was just so happy about getting some. It was from his baby sister and he kept saying, "thank you silly, oh thank you, thank you!" I think my Mom got in on video.
I can't remember which Transformer this is but he was really excited to get it.
He begged for this Power Ranger transformer robot every single time we went to the store. He even took a box and hid it in the baby aisle so that no one would find it and buy it. rofl...
As usual trying to get a good shot of all of us at the same time is madness. My face was squished in between the two. My husband is losing his mind because right here is in the middle of packing to leave the country. All in all I think it was a very Happy Birthday for our little guy. Thank you for sharing it with us.

What Did I Do To The Universe?

It started out innocently enough. "Mom I want a snack, here is some chocolate pudding." I told him it was ok. It's just a snack right? He got a little messy on his mouth, not a big deal. Look at that cute chocolate face!

Then I left him sitting alone and it all went terribly wrong very fast! What in the world possessed him to do this? Didn't we just go through the Tarter Sauce
yesterday?

Time for a bath, again. *sigh*

Tornado Toddler Strikes Again!

I just wanted a moments peace. The baby is napping and I have a thousand things to do but very little energy. I just wanted to do a little blog hopping for Wordless Wednesday. My toddler just got out of the shower and he was going (I thought) into the other room to get dressed.

I'm hopping and commenting and then I smell this tart smell, smells like salad dressing! I turn my head to see the fridge open. Oh geez, what did he do now?

I ask, "What is that smell?" He says, "salad!" I immediately bolt out of my chair to discover this...

"What are you doing?" I ask.

"I'm trying to make something! I need a job to do" he says.

Geez! How could I be mad? I can't. He's covered in tartar sauce.
Back to the shower he goes because he smells awful!

He has a LONG history of striking! If you would like to see more click here.

Tornado Toddler Strikes Again!

Oh yes, he's still up to his crazy shenanigans that tornado toddler of mine. Here is the latest in his little series of events. My husband made his famous steaks this evening and he left the spices out on the counter. He had a scout meeting and I was taking care of the baby. All of a sudden I smelled this overwhelming amount of spice smell. My nose led me through the kitchen and around the corner to find this!

And then I started the barrage of questioning, "what in the world are you doing?" "why is this all over the floor?" "why?!"

He calmly and very cutely looks at me and says, "I'm trying to mix it! I'm cooking like daddy." Talk about your get out of jail free card! How cute is that? How could I be mad? He was just trying to do what daddy does when he cooks. He already has an apprentice. His baby sister is now walking every where and she is getting into everything. He might be passing down his reign as the "Tornado Toddler." Stay tuned...

If You Give a Toddler a Camera...

He's going to take some funny pictures. My little guy is sure to become a photographer or at least have it as a hobby. He is constantly snagging my digital camera and snapping photos. He knows how to turn it on, focus and push the button.

Em don't get mad because you know I had to post these. This is my friend Emily who is 5 months pregnant with her first baby. Our little guy had to get a photo of the baby. He got as close as he could.
Then he moved on to her toes. I'm not sure why, maybe he liked them because they are painted? I don't know but we got a good laugh out of it.

Finally he moved up to her face! We had to treat her to a Girl Scout Thin Mint cookie blizzard from Dairy Queen. If you haven't had one and you have a DQ in your neck of the woods you have to try it. It's break your diet worthy! rofl...

Tornado Toddler Strikes Again!

Here he is up to his regular shenanigans. I had just mixed up a package of Hidden Valley Ranch and sour cream. I had obviously not put the lid on the bowl yet and I clearly had my back turned. Bad idea on my part. He took his little hand and just started eating it. He loves the stuff! Can you tell? He likes to dip croutons in it. I think Hidden Valley Ranch has another customer.

Tornado Toddler Strikes Again!

Just in case you thought he disappeared, oh no! he's still here. Today while I was sending a "quick" email to daddy my little guy managed to do the following:
Pull chair up to pantry
Find bag full of Dum Dums
Take bag to table
Remove all the wrappers
If I remember correctly I'm the one that threw them on the plate. The boy is smart and he's fast. I had no idea this was going on. He's very quiet and sneaky!

Oh and if you are wondering who is Julie Maloney's #1 fan is...that would be me!

Tornado Toddler Strikes Again!

What? You didn't think he wouldn't strike again did you? I've got lots of photos just waiting to be posted. I'm just usually short on time. Today though I was feeding the baby when he did this. I'm right here and I don't know how he got up on the counter because there aren't any chairs around. He decided to make coffee for me. If you look on the left side of this photo you will see the top of the coffee maker open. The coffee grounds are right behind him. He's sly! You see the lid is put back on. He even put a filter inside before he put the grounds in. rofl - geez, NEVER a dull moment.

Who Loves Their Daddy?

My tornado toddler over here had just gotten done with his bath. He found some of his daddy's clothes in the closet and well, see for yourself. I had to help him! He was so persistent and cute about the whole thing. I love days like these.

Tornado Toddler Strikes Again!

I know you have been wondering what he has been up to haven't you? Well, on this particular day he pulled out the trash bag from the trash can and well you can see for yourself what he did next. He's right behind me too in our little home office. You have to understand that he has super toddler powers that allow him to move in stealth mode. I leave my camera on my desk at all times so I can grab it any time I have a "Kodak Moment." All I did was swivel around in my chair and there he was just like this. He's such a busy little guy. What will he do next? Stay tuned for the next episode of Tornado Toddler Strikes Again.

Tornado Toddler Strikes Again!

I can explain, really! Here I was creating my James Avery contest post real quick. It didn't take long at all. I was going to move that blasted left over cake from the baby shower from the middle of the table as soon as I finished! He is really proud of himself isn't he? He said, "Funny!" That is what he is saying here full of smiles and giggles. Time to clean up the cake.

Tornado Toddler Strikes Again!

What is he up to this time? I think he is trying to help me do the dishes. These are Electrosol dishwasher tabs all over the floor. Thank goodness they are individually wrapped. I catch him playing in these often. He usually just takes out one or two but today he dumped out the whole can. Don't worry I found a new place for them where he can't get to them as easily. What a helper!

Tornado Toddler Strikes Again!

I was right! I knew it was too quiet. Here is my Super Star quietly enjoying himself. He has gotten into the battery box again. No big deal we are use to that but this time he got the Klennex out too. What is he spreading all over the floor? Instant oatmeal. It's like he is drawing in it. Most likely he is because his big sister put shaving cream on our dining room table once and showed him how to write with his little fingers.

Tornado Toddler Strikes Again!

This is a bit of a late post but here is what happened. We were talking about what to have for dinner (I'm thinking left overs). I asked him, "Do you want spaghetti for dinner?", "Go look in the refrigerator and find it for mommy" How stupid am I? He found it alright! He said, "Uh Oh" and I turned my head and all the spaghetti was on the floor but the Tupperware bowl that it was in was up right with the lid on it???? Any way the dogs had a nice dinner! I think I ended up making tacos since they are fast and easy.

Tornado Toddler Strikes Again!

This time I went to answer the front door. My friend had shown up to get some work stuff. I should have known something was up! He was too quiet. Here he is in my make-up! He got all my lip glosses mixed up and it's all over his face! Lucky for me I wear light colors. When we go visit his Granny in the mornings he will go in his big sisters room (if she is there) and get into her make-up. She doesn't care! She will put it on him. Yes she will break out the lip gloss and get him to pucker his lips and all. She did this with her other brother too. He became very attached to her Cotton Candy flavored lip gloss. No worries, he's older now and is no longer impressed with her lip gloss. LOL - Until next time on....Tornado Toddler!

Tornado Toddler Strikes Again!

This little guy is unreal! He brings me his candy jar that my gram made him and he has eaten it all and wants more. I had just gotten him showered and dressed and I told him there was no more candy. The candy is at granny's house. Well we had just gotten back home from her house. The boys wanted eggs this morning and my son will only eat her eggs. Well I guess our Super Star here put granny and eggs together and went to the fridge to get the eggs. All I did was go to the bathroom! This happened in a matter of seconds. He brought me a box of eggs and I'm walking in the kitchen to put the eggs up and this is what I find. While I'm cleaning up the eggs he is over here pulling all the shoes off the shoe rack! I then pick him up and sit him in my chair where I can see him. Then I finish cleaning up the eggs. GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Scroll down for Wordless Wednesday.

Tornado Toddler Strikes Again!

First,
while I was doing laundry he was in his dad's closet. He emptied out his drawer and proceeded to put his dad's underwear on. Silly goose!

Then his brother was feeding the dogs and he was holding the dog bowl. He wasn't strong enough to hold it and that is how there is dog food everywhere! Then he emptied out the dogs water bowl to make the dog food nice and soggy! Just a couple of messes in the span of 5 minutes. Till next time on Tornado Toddler!

Tornado Toddler Strikes Again!

In today's adventure of tornado toddler, we have the case of the folded laundry. I thought it was safe to finish up my 30th edition of Thursday Thirteen. I thought my dh was watching the boys. No, he's sleeping right there on that very bed! When I walk in the bedroom the clothes that were folded in that laundry basket to the left are now all over the floor. Our Super Star here was actually laying all over them. Nice!

Tornado Toddler Strikes Again!

So within a matter of three minutes he has emptied out the drawer of my nightstand. Why can't he do this on his father's side? LOL - He has found a measuring tape and he is pulling it open and cracking up when it closes by itself. Now if I can just get him to pick up all those magazines and put them back in the drawer we will be in business! Stay tuned for more adventures of Tornado Toddler.
