Manic Monday - Day 156

Song of the day - Manic Monday by The Bangles which is VERY fitting for today. I had my week 37 Dr. appointment. The baby is good. Some weeks I gain weight and some weeks I lose weight. I don't care at this point. All I feel are aches and pains from the waist down. Assuming I still have some sort of a waist! It doesn't look like I'm going to have this baby for another couple of weeks. Who knows! Babies, they are so unpredictable.

I've updated my weekly playlist to celebrate one of my all time favorite movies The Wedding Singer. There are lots of different tracks from the movie soundtrack. If you are an 80's music fan then you will really enjoy it.

We had a voice message today from the manager at Saturn. It seems he has more information on a good deal for us. Why not give us a good deal in the first place! Haggling grrrr....

My dh and I switched cars today so I was driving his Honda Accord. Oh it's a zippy car with really nice a/c but it wasn't very much fun to get in and out of that is for sure! Considering how hot it is I'm just thankful to have vehicles that have a/c.

The Baby and I Thank You!

As a fellow online boutique owner I have had the privilege of working with some fantastic companies. Some of the owners were kind enough to send me their products to use for our new baby that will be arriving very soon. Thank you so much!
Boca Beth - Spanish Beginners Set - complete with an egg shaker, Boca puppet, music cd and dvd. The boys love the entire set and fight over the puppet. I need to buy another one. Lily Cait - Baby's First tutu. Everyone that has seen it has just gushed all over it. It's beautifully handmade and I can't wait to get her photo taken in it. DekoPosh - The (BFF) Best Friends Forever onesie in pink. She will be trendy with her texting outfit. Regionz Kidz - A taxi urban sketch on a t-shirt with pink trim. She's going to look so hip! The scene reminds me of New York! That's one of my all time favorite places to visit. Jenna Claire - The Baby I'm Yours diaper bag, Make Up Your Mind make-up bag and the Presto Chang-o pad. How refreshing it is to see different fabrics that can be used. I really needed a new diaper bag too. Thanks again to all these wonderful companies for donating such great products. Special thanks to Krista owner of Boutique Flair and Beth from Boca Beth.

Wordless Wednesday - Tilt Head To Right - Big Eyes

8/4/08

WARNING

We've got a hurricane coming tomorrow! It's expected to hit between 9am - 12pm. We aren't sure how bad it's going to be. If for some reason a winner is not announced tomorrow evening that would be one reason why.

Baby update - the ultrasound was today and it's week 36. The Dr. estimates that she is already 7lbs. Right now I'm experiencing contractions oh yes this would be lovely to give birth during a hurricane. I'm hoping that it is just Braxton Hicks and frantically researching the difference. Wish me luck!

Baby Love - Day 171

Games Galore! - What makes a good shower? A nice setting, friends, family, food and of course the shower games.

Baby Love (Song of the day) by the Supremes was one of the answers to a game we played at my shower. The game was to listen to snippets of songs with the word "baby" in the title and write down the song and artist. I won that game because I'm a bit of a music freak.
Why is she smelling that diaper? This game was hilarious! We had to guess the smell. Don't worry it was just different flavors of melted chocolate. It didn't look pretty but it smelled good. That was kind of disturbing because diapers and sweet smelling brown stuff don't normally go together. - LOL

What is she doing with that carrot between her knees? This was sooooooo funny! We had to pass this carrot around in a circle using our knees. If you dropped it you were out. Once the carrot made it all the way around the circle the carrot was cut and it was shorter each time! Funny stuff.

Here is our game coordinator for the shower. She was pretty exhausted but still manages a big giant smile for the camera. Well done! Kuddos!! I'm thankful to everyone who helped coordinate the event and for everyone who came.

Baby Ticker Widgets

Let's explore those baby ticker widgets! I've seen a few but not any that I would want to post so I thought I would post all the options that are available to those of us who are waiting on our new arrivals. You can find these at my favorite widget place - Widgetbox. According to these widgets I only have 40+ days to go! I'm not going to freak out, I'm not going to freak out.... - oh, oh - I like the one with the fetal heartbeat. If you click on the little buttons you can turn the light on or off, zoom in or out, listen to the heartbeat and tickle the baby! How cute.

Maybe I'm Amazed - Day 189

Have you clicked over to the baby shower games yet? I love the game for the best, worst and funniest advice!

I have one for you - over the weekend I somehow did some serious miscalculations on our water bill! Long story short, while your preggers have someone else do your accounting. I'm so serious. I've made so many errors by not making deposits, not recording deposits made, paying the same bill twice, paying half the bill, etc... Lucky for me my dh is VERY understanding. He says I'm only like this when I'm preggers. Geez!
I'm thankful that he has a great sense of humor. ;)

Glucose Test - Hooray

Today is my lucky day! I get to drink that super sweet nasty syrup orange drink for my glucose test. The Dr. wants to check for gestational diabetes. That would stink if I did have it. I know that I have been border line on these tests before. Currently I'm having issues with Big Red! My dh keeps buying these 12 packs and I just drink one right after the other. I'm not exactly practicing self control. Well it's time to go get my baby update!

Priscilla Madison Kramer - 19 Weeks

I was going to save this for a Wordless Wednesday but I'm afraid it requires some explanation since it is an ultrasound! LOL

If you look at the photo and you tilt your head to your left shoulder you will see her face. Her mouth is open and she is sticking out her tongue!

We have a little tradition with our kids. Our eldest son has my husbands initials. My husband wanted to pass down all of his monogrammed items. Our second son has my husbands fathers initials. He will receive all of his grandfathers monogrammed items.

Now that we have a girl I thought it would be fun for her to have my initials. What fun that has been trying to figure out a name that we could agree on that started with a P. Just when we got over that hurdle, came all the names that started with an M!

We were all in the van coming home and our eldest son said What about Madison? My dh and I looked at each other and smiled and said "That's it!" No more discussion that is her name we are done. LOL

Thursday Thirteen #24 - Baby on The Brain

Rather than just have a ton of anxiety I thought I would take the opportunity to use Thursday Thirteen as a bit of therapy. I've got a bit of baby on the brain.

1.) Is it a boy or girl? I would love to have another boy because that girl right there on the right in that photo broke the mold! LOL

2.) It's going to hurt! The last time there just wasn't enough drugs for the pain. I had so much I got sick. It wasn't pleasant.

3.) What if it doesn't want to come out? LOL - The last 2 were so big it was a challenge to get them out. I'm not going to get graphic here.

4.) What if there is something wrong? The last one came out with the cord around his neck. There was a lot of massaging going on. No one told me until after the baby was in the clear.

5.) We are going to be around 55 and 60 before this one leaves the house!

6.) When will we get to sleep again? We run on fumes as it is and both of our boys still get up in the middle of the night.

7.) We have to get our Super Star out of the crib and into a bed so that we can use the crib again.

8.) What if my doctor is not there to deliver my baby? Ugh!

9.) I have at least 20 more weeks of people lifting up my shirt to LOOK at my belly.

10.) I have at least 20 more weeks of people wanting to TOUCH my belly. You would think I would be use to that by now, no I'm not.

11.) I wish people would stop asking if we are going to have more. Don't they think it crosses our minds that 5 children between us is enough? We know.

12.) The names! Going through the names and trying to decide on one we all like. That will be easier when we know if it's a boy or girl.

13.) The baby shower! I've had so many, what if people get tired of coming? LOL

Baby Update!

Last night I was feeling those bubbles in my tummy. At least I thought they were bubbles. It's hard to tell because my diet is just horrible! It's ok it's only a phase. Any way my dh and I are going to sleep and he puts his hand on my belly. I asked him, "Did you feel that?" "no" he says. I flip around on my back and put his palm in the right place and BAM! Sure enough he got kicked or punched, we couldn't decide. I don't think those were bubbles that I was feeling this whole time. LOLOLOL - Till tomorrow! We find out if it's a boy or a girl. I would love to have another boy but my gut feeling tells me it's a girl.

Justin Timberlake

Before I completely forget about my dream from 2 nights ago I wanted to get this down. For all of those dream analysis people out there let me know what this means.

My baby clothing business failed and I decided to start selling wash cloths. This took off so well that I was selling them to Justin Timberlake. I told him that there is no way that people would believe that I knew him. He said, "They would if I dropped you off in my helicopter!" I told him that was too much so he just gave me a ride home in his car. That was the end of the dream. LOL - weird!

14 Weeks

The Dr. gave me the thumbs up at 14 weeks. The baby's heartbeat is strong. All my levels are good. I gained one pound from my last visit. Although I have no idea how because if you have read my blog then you know about all the food that I have been enjoying with no shame! LOL - The nurse and the doctor both asked me if I was eating. Oh yes! Geez, can't you people tell? I can!

btw-I recently wrote a post about Jelly Bellys and yesterday I found a variety pack at the store called fruit bowl. WOW!!!!! Yummy.

In 5 weeks I get to return for an ultrasound by a specialist. Apparently my dr. recommends it for all women 35 and over who are pregnant. Um, ok! Until then....

McDonalds Madness

So last night I was just starving to death. I get really caught up with work and the computer. It's really bad and I'm aware of it. Any hoo - last night I had to make a mad dash for McDonalds for dinner. I got a double quarter pounder with cheese and it was so yummy! Yes, I ate the whole thing which is very bad for me I know. On the flip side I didn't do any evening snacking. I was full for the evening. I think I'm going to grow into those jeans sooner rather than later.

Mad Cravings

Last night as I sat watching the season finale of Nip/Tuck I remembered I had made Hidden Valley Ranch Dip. I made it to dip with carrots. Yummy! But last night I thought that Ruffles potato chips would be good to dip. So, I told my dh about my wonderful idea. He knows that is the standard code for - go get me some, please! -LOL - I needed something sweet too so I nominated a box of Lemon Heads.

About 20 minutes of waiting around he finally left and I was waiting with anticipation. He comes up the stairs in the room and he says, "You said Ruffles didn't you?" He bought Lays. Unfortunately I'm not one of those people that rolls with the punches about food, so back to the store he went.

I have to tell you that it was so goooooooood! The Lemon Heads topped it off and I was one happy pregnant lady last night. I know - I have to get these cravings under control or I'm going to seriously regret it but until then I will continue to share my weirdness.

Running For The Border

Oh yes! Being pregnant is bringing on lots of issues. Yesterday I had this craving for Casa Ole and since we are very low on cash I made tacos at home instead. We ate about 6 or so I can't remember (another issue of pregnancy - zero short term memory) and around 8:30pm I was starving to death. I sent my dh on a mission. I needed Taco Bell and I needed it STAT! I had to have a crunchy taco, bean burrito - no onions, and a steak fajita quesadilla. Who knew? So off he went like a good man to fetch and solve my cravings. We shared the meal and I was totally satisfied. LOL - What a ride!

Paranormal Dreams

OK - I've been asked by several of you to share. I would say this shadow was a man but I couldn't make out a face. He had the figure of a large man but was mostly a black shadow. He was wearing one of those grim reaper gowns with the hood. I could see him as clearly as I'm looking at this monitor. He was standing at the foot of my bed just watching me. My husband was laying right next to me sleeping. Our little boys came running in the room (it was morning) and I quickly jumped out of bed and ran past this thing and shooed the boys out of our room. Then I woke up! Creeped me out!!!

He's A Hoot!

Him: "Mommy, do you know why I want you to have a girl?"
Me: "No, why?"
Him: "Because I want a sister who isn't so junkie!"
Me: "Junkie? What does that mean?"
Him: "You know like how (big sis) is always messy and eats fast food?"
Me: "Cracking up at this point!"
Him: "And you know what Mommy?"
Me: "What?"
Him: "Then you could have some girl talk!"

LOL - He's a riot.
