Thursday Thirteen #94 - Christmas Goodies

This was an awesome year for presents. I'm going to share my favorites with you in this weeks meme.

1.) $25 gift card to Star Bucks - Now I can have several Peppermint Mochas.
2.) $50 gift card to Chilis - We used it for a family of 5 with desert!
3.) My "Mom" necklace from my oldest son.
4.) My new terry cloth robe from my hubs.
5.) $50 Cash from my Mom.
6.) $50 gift card to JcPenny also from my Mom.
7.) Coffee cups! They were to my hubs but I'm pretty sure he is going to share.
8.) The Biggest Loser for the Wii. I haven't broken it out yet.
9.) $25 gift card to Olive Garden.
10.) Christmas cookies from our neighbors.
11.) A box of caramels in my stocking.
12.) A recipe book for Roasts.
13.) My kids made photo ornaments at school. I LOVE those!

Tip The Scale Tuesday - Week 36

I gained another two pounds this week. For the month of December I've packed on 6 pounds. That's right! I've been racking my brain trying to think of what happened. I worked out more. I'm really strong. My legs are looking slimmer. However, when I got on the scale this morning I was shocked!

I knew it was time to do it. Today I broke up with Star Bucks. That's right, it's over. I used my entire gift card and I'm done. My love for the peppermint mocha is not worth the pounds. Good-bye Star Bucks, it was fun while it lasted but I want to fit into my jeans. I need to go down on the scale not up. Wish me luck as I go into detox.

Meet Forrest!

We have been waiting for him and he is finally here. I just got home myself. I didn't want to leave until I could hold him. :)

I just had to hold him. He's so sweet and handsome. My boys are going to go nuts when they see him. I'm so thankful to my husband for hanging out with our kids so I could be there with Emily. Her mother is in the hospital and her mother in law was not feeling well either. Her Dad was there!

He's waiting so patiently! I have tons of photos on Facebook so if you are linked to me you can check out the photo album that I created. Here are a few of my favorites!

Tip The Scale Tuesday - Week 35

I've got a two pound gain this week. Last night I was rubbing my husband's shoulders. He told me I was really strong. I believe it! Could it be that those peppermint mochas have caught up with me? Could it have been the cheeseburger and fries that I ate yesterday an hour before boot camp? Oh and I will NEVER do that again! That man made us take a lap and then sprint and then sprint some more and then made us do many other crazy things inside the gym. I baked some serious goodies and didn't even sample! I must get that scale to give me an accurate reading. I don't believe the silly thing. At least there is still the boot goal! I'm saving that $100 gift certificate to Amazon to buy a new pair of boots. I've fallen off the food journal wagon. I need to get back on it.

New Attitude

Saturday I decided to start my new year. I am making a few promises to myself and I plan to keep them. One, I would like to only wear gym clothes when I'm going to the gym. From now on I will be seen in jeans or something other than work out clothing. Two, I'm bringing out the make up again. I might only be changing diapers or wiping noses on a given day but I'm going to look good doing it! Three, I'm going to make better uses of my hours. Rome was not built in a day it was built hour by hour. Four, before I go to bed I'm going to take that bubble bath, no kids in the bathroom or their toys just me and my jets. I'm going for it. I'm going to find myself again, period!

Christmas - The Dave Ramsey Way

Just by chance, this year we have just now gotten around to buying our Christmas tree. We normally purchase our tree at the Houston Garden Center. Today they had a sale, all trees $35. SWEET! We found the biggest tree we could just for giggles. The tree we chose was priced at $170 but we did only pay $35. Why in the world wouldn't we wait it out every year? lol

Our family is now in the holiday spirit. It just didn't feel like Christmas without a tree in the house. The stockings are hung and it smells so good.

Still Waiting on Emily

Emily still hasn't had baby Forrest yet. We are all waiting patiently.

You would think my kids were getting a new brother. They are so excited!

They are always touching her belly when they see her! ROFL...

I have several more photos but there was a wardrobe malfunction and if I posted them she would surely kill me. We will just keep waiting. Her due date is in 6 days and with babies anything can happen. Her baby is going to be big boy! It's a good thing she has a bff who just happens to own a baby apparel line that caters to big and tall babies.

One Smooth Mutha

In this white bottle is an antibiotic with the worst after taste. It's so bad my little guy spits it right back out. Then I had an idea! Sneak the dose inside his smoothie.

First, I give him all of the other medicines so he will have all these different tastes in his mouth. I believe that it will make it harder to identify the yucky tasting medicine in the smoothie. Will it work?

Yep, it works like a charm. And that my friends makes me "One Smooth Mutha!"
